This will be a two part series…see if you can guess what the second part will be.

Normally Summertime, and particulary August, is a dreadfully hot and humid time in Georgia. The air is sticky and makes the temperature seem even hotter than it is. This past week we have been blessed with very low humidity. And for that I am VERY grateful today and challenge you to be grateful.

AI tells me what I already know, but am sharing with you ‘Low humidity allows for more efficient evaporation of sweat, which cools the body, making the apparent temperature feel cooler than the actual air temperature. ‘ (do I need to put it in quotes if this came from AI?

Anyway, I’m grateful to walk Mavis outside in the afternoon without feeling like I’ve taken a shower. I don’t know how long it will last, but it doesn’t matter. I’m living in the present and am enjoying this. I hope you are experiencing some low humidity too, wherever you are!

There is no image that can convey the level of humidity, high or low…so I pasted some pretty pictures of the sky (and the cruise ships I’ve been on recently) and call it a day.
