At the end of every Wednesday night choir rehearsal, we close with a prayer. The other night my friend Alison closed with this prayer from a Vestavia Hills UMC preacher she knew. I enjoyed it and thought you might like it too.
If there is one among us who is carrying a heavy load, who does not know how to pray, and for whom no one is praying, count this prayer for him. Bless him good in his heart; let him know that God loves him and that we love him, too. For we make this prayer in the name and, we trust, in the nature of Jesus Christ, our blessed Lord and Savior, who gave His life for us on Calvary’s tree, so that we might live for Him.
