By The last in our series…let’s be grateful for the person, people, bands that perform on stage. I am one…but only at the amateur level. It does help me to appreciate the professionals. It takes a lot of energy to sing your heart out on stage night after night. Being on stage as yourself or as an actor exposes who you are. It is absolutely awesome when there is applause. oh…but it stings when there isn’t any applause.
I was on a cruise recently and felt great sympathy for the performers…they have to go out EVERY night whether the audience is enthusiastic or not; whether the audience is 2 people or 200 people, whether the ocean is calm or rough; whether it’s the first night or the 100th night they’ve sung ‘Sweet Caroline’.
Thank you to the performers who work hard to put on a good show! I’m grateful for your efforts!
