Today we are floating toward the Hubbard Glacier. There’s nothing to do but adjust to the boat and enjoy the view. For those of you wondering, I am on Regent Seven Seas Explorer. Here’s a pic of the itinerary

I wish I could say I slept in…but my internal alarm clock decided it was time to get up! I ate some breakfast and drank a decent amount of coffee to power me through the day. The Hudson glacier is impressive. I don’t think the Captain wanted to get too close, but there was a Holland America cruise ship in front of us who risked it…and I feel like he was peer pressured to go further in. I took some great pictures using the raw format on my iphone but those apparently can’t be posted here, so you’re getting my ‘regular’ pics. We did see some sea lions chilling on some ice. I’ll see if I can get one of those pics to load. I ate lunch at the grill (burger and fries – woo hoo) and then it was time for my cooking class. While excursions are included with the cruise, the cooking class was extra. And it was totally worth it. The theme was Taste of the Northwest. Hugo, the French chef, was an absolute delight. We made a cake, a mixed drink, a salmon rillette and a pan seared scallop. I think there was one other item, but the mixed drink was strong, so it all starts to blur together at this point.
More eating and drinking and a broadway show. The sea was a little rough, but I didn’t get sick…just felt a little off. I slapped a Rx patch behind my ear and then it was time to sleep. Next port is Sitka!
