Buzz Buzz
Let’s hear it for our pollinators, the busy little bee. For those of you with a bee allergy, this is a stretch goal! It’s hard to appreciate wasps, hornets or yellow jackets, who seem to get pleasure from dive-bombing and stinging (or is that just something they reserve for me?).
I turned to google for a little help on the purpose of yellow jackets. And now you know:
Yellow jackets are beneficial around home gardens and commercially grown fruits and vegetables at certain times because they feed on caterpillars and harmful flies.
I’m grateful that bees exist for their pollinating skills and for the honey they produce….and I’ll begrudgingly be grateful for yellow jackets for eating flies.
