Spring has sprung here in Atlanta! This week’s challenge is super easy. Let’s be grateful for daffodils.
Here are some daffodils that I planted by my garage door. Every time I pull in or out of my driveway, I see them smiling at me. And they make me smile. When we sold our parent’s house, my sister and I dug up the daffodil bulbs that surrounded a tree in the front yard. These bulbs are descendants from bulbs from my grandfather’s homestead in North Georgia (which also has been sold). I’m reminded of my parents and their parents and family every time I see them.
I didn’t know this but from googling I’ve found out (and now you know)…
Daffodils symbolize rebirth, new beginnings, hope, joy, and good luck. Much of this symbolism arises from the fact that daffodils emerge each spring to light up barren landscapes with their cheerful yellow, orange, and white flowers.
During my BRIEF stay in London, I passed by these daffodils on my walk into the office. They also made me smile…because they reminded me of home and that Spring was coming.
Be grateful for the lovely daffodil blooms you see on your drive/walks today. And if you’re feeling energized, go out and plant a bulb or two!
