Years ago, Girl Scouts had to act as door to door salesmen, hitting up neighbors for cookie sales. Now I get an email from my niece, who is a girl scout/my supplier, with a link. And every year I say I’m not going to buy any or I’m going to buy and donate to the troops. And every year I buy a few boxes for me. It’s similar to ‘if you build it, they will come’ from Field of Dreams. If I buy it, I will eat it. So I keep the purchases to a minimum…only 4 boxes this year.

I’m grateful…because they taste good (of course) but they also fund for Scout activities and they help to teach sales and marketing and business skills.

What’s your favorite cookies? Are you grateful for the cookie or for what they do (besides widening waistlines across America)?

I’m grateful for Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils and that chocolate coconut one that I always forget the name of.
