I am a Southern girl, so this is going to be a STRETCH for me. I’m really not a fan of cold weather. My mother told the story of her drive from Michigan to Texas. She left snow on the ground in Michigan and roses were blooming when she arrived in San Antonio. She never went back!

I suspect this will be decidedly easier for my friends in Chicago who have had snow already. BRRRR. So if you like the cold, then kudos to you. I accept this challenge!!! Brrrr….

Cold weather helps me appreciate the milder weather of Spring and Fall as well as the heat of Summer. I’m grateful for the cold weather because I can pull out my warm sweaters and my thick comforters. I’m grateful that cold weather heralds the making of soups and pot roasts and hearty comfort food.

Here’s a pick from the top of a German alp where it was BRUTALLY cold. And a pic of the original team leads (Marla, me and Bret) with our fearless leader Jon. We had a meeting in Denver and were surprised by a snow storm.
