Today’s shout out is to all the folks who attend performances. It doesn’t matter if the performance is free or not. You’re willing to take time out of your life to sit (or stand) and experience living art. For that I thank you.
I love the energy that an audience brings to the production. After weeks/months of practice, learning lines and choreography or notes, it’s time to take to the stage and share. You can feel the electricity in there air…the anticipation of an exciting night of drama, music, comedy, romance, maybe all of the above.
So your challenge is to attend a performance and actively listen and engage as an audience member – a local band in a pub or a concert in an arena or a football game in person – all of those count!
