Well we made it to the end of 2024. Like many people, I tend to be very reflective at the end of the year. What went well? What didn’t? What could be improved upon?
The last post for this year is a gratitude challenge – to be grateful for the end of a year. 2024 was my first full year as an entrepreneur. I’m so very grateful for my clients who signed up for my consulting services! I believed there was an interest and was RIGHT! I’m grateful to my support team (friends, family, tax advisor, financial advisor, insurance agent) who buoyed me through the year. Running your own company is more than providing a service to clients, I had to figure out the administrative side of business – time and billing system, accounting system, invoicing etc..
2024 wasn’t just about work, thank goodness. Both 2023 and 2024 brought me work-life balance for which I’m eternally grateful. Work and constant stress was killing me. I’m grateful I saw the signs and took the steps necessary to protect myself. I’m grateful that I saved and scrounged so that ‘retiring’ and starting my own business was an option for me.
I am grateful I found time for lots of amazing trips – Puerto Rico, Skyterra in NC, Netherlands cruise, Germany and Austria Christmas markets! I discovered and re-discovered countries and cultures with new and old friends.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to share (or over-share) my thoughts through this blog.
What are you grateful for?
Thank you, 2024, for being a good year. You were filled with love, laughter and happiness!
