In the Fall, my friend invited me to High Tech Ministries’ annual Bible Blitz, which would be in the Buckhead area around 4:30pm. Normally this would trigger an automatic decline from me. I dislike Atlanta traffic. Tryingn to get from Roswell to Buckhead between 4 and 7 is about as bad as it gets. Luckily for me, instead of saying no, I said yes.
I enjoyed the event and recommend it to anyone, Christian or non-believer (hence the link provided). They have another offering of virtual bible studies, for which I’ve signed up. So far, after having attended a few sessions, I can relay that my experiences have been positive.
This week we talked about the life of the lowly shepherds and what a statement it was that God selected them to hear the Good News. The life of a shepherd was hard. Life back then was decidedly harder than today. But we struggle just as much with finding peace as the shepherds did back then. Some pain points still exist (strife in the Middle East). Some pain points are new (the nightmare of social media). And some pain points have evolved (most of us are not worried about finding food and water, but now we worry more about the quality of food and drinks that we ingest). Each generation of mankind has its own set of pain and pressure.
The call ended with this challenge, which I share with you.
What is one difficult pressure or pain that you can ask God to replace with peace this Christmas season?
Identify it, prayerfully as for His help and let me know the results!
