Whenever I go to Skyterra Wellness Retreat, they rave about the anti-inflammatory benefits of Turmeric and serve ‘Golden Milk’ at each breakfast. I end up buying bottles of ground Turmeric that then sit in my pantry until they are well past their expiration date.

Recently when I posted about having a cold, I had a friend reach out to suggest Golden Milk (aka Turmeric milk) as a tonic to relieve the symptoms. I did some googling for a recipe then came up with the concoction below.

What I found in googling is that most recipes are the same, they just vary the turmeric amount. Skyterra’s recipe indicated 1 Tablespoon of Turmeric. I was a little shy…so I did about half that amount…but left the higher amount here to inspire me. What I liked about the recipe is the instructions are very simple. I don’t know if I did something wrong, but I did have a lot of…residue at the bottom of my glass. I don’t know if that is to be expected or if I need to whisk more. I’ll try whisking more and see if that helps.

One big risk that does drive me nuts with Turmeric is its high potential for staining anything and everything bright yellow. I have white quartz kitchen countertops, which of course now have a turmeric stain. Please DM me with how to remove these ghastly stains. Unfortunately, my tears and my swearing had no impact on stain removal.

All of the spices can and should be adjusted to your taste. I’ll keep you posted if this magical elixir cured me.
