Daylight savings time arrives on March 10 this year. On that lovely Sunday morning we spring forward…meaning 5 am becomes 6 am. You can check out Wikipedia to learn more than you ever cared to know about springing forward and falling back. DST was first implemented in the US with the Standard Time Act of 1918, a wartime measure for seven months during World War I in the interest of adding more daylight hours to conserve energy resources.

In that wikipedia link there are all sorts of documentation of the adverse effect of time change. I personally have never been a fan of springing forward. So to make a challenge to be grateful for it is downright mean. But I’ll try.

I’m grateful for DST because it indicates that Spring is here and I love Spring.

That is all I can think of?
