I love hummingbirds! I really and truly do! I am lucky to be on their migration path and dutifully put out a hummingbird feeder every summer. This year I only had a few but my hope is I’ll see more next year, because they make me so happy.

I’m grateful that they make their journeys each year. I love their fierce competitive nature. I love how fast they are. I love their little chirpy bird talk.

You gratitude challenge is to put a feeder out for and/or take a picture of some hummingbirds if you’re on their migration path. Or just reflect on what a wonderful world we live in that these tiny fast little birds exist!

Bonus easy Nectar recipe: 1 c boiling water + 1/4 c sugar. Yes it is that simple. I typically double it and refrigerate what doesn’t fit in the feeder. When I’m refilling from the fridge, I like to think what a nice cold treat I’m providing them.

The picture on the left is a stock picture. On the right is one of the hummingbirds visiting this year. I call him Stubby.
